Cantor Ann Turnoff
Cantor Ann Turnoff, Director of The Mark Center For Jewish Excellence, served as Cantor at Temple Beth El of Boca Raton for 20 years. In that capacity she had the honor of leading the congregation in worship, teaching young and old the glory of Jewish music and culture, orchestrating great congregational celebrations, and participating in every facet of congregational life.
Cantor Ann, as the pre-schoolers refer to her, is a native of Philadelphia, Pennsylvania and holds a Bachelors Degree in Piano with a minor in music education, and a Masters Degree in Musicology, both from the College of Music at Temple University. The Cantor is a member of the Guild of Temple Musicians, the Women Cantors Network, and is a card-carrying member of Actor’s Equity. Cantor Ann is on the Board of Directors of the Florence Fuller Child Development Center, and is a member of the Advisory Council of the Center for Holocaust and Human Rights Education of Florida Atlantic University.
